In 2012 Fabrice Santoro is the guest of the chateau de Villandry for the Garden Encounters.

2012 theme: “Le jardin et ses images [The Garden and its Images]
Throughout this weekend, guided tours of the gardens are laid on at 10.30 am, 12 noon, 3 pm and 4 pm, and horse-and-cart rides from 10 am to 5 pm. With the hand of a master, former top French tennis player Fabrice Santoro will lead the tennis demonstrations and exhibition matches on the lawn, on Sunday 3 June from 3 pm to 6 pm.

“Quelles images pour quels jardins ?” [Which pictures for which gardens?] A question to be pondered together in the lush, poetic setting of the gardens of Villandry, while admiring Martin Oeggerli’s photographs, which invite visitors to explore pollen, colourised like works of art.

Prices:
Adults: €6.50 – gardens only; €9.50 – chateau and gardens
Children: €4 – gardens only; €5.50 – chateau and gardens
Specially for this event, admission is free for young people up to the age of 18 (except school parties). There is no additional charge for the activities, but places are subject to availability.
