Fulfilling the wish of Joachim Carvallo, who in 1920 opened Villandry to the public so that the French people could enjoy this jewel of national heritage, our prices are among the lowest in the Loire Valley. Make the most of it!

  • There is a cloakroom beyond the ticket office. Small bags, rucksacks and motorcycle helmets can be left there free of charge.

  • Groups (price per person): Minimum 15 paying visitors / 2 free tickets for driver and accompanying person. For full details, see the “Groups” section.

  • School parties: Prices, workshops and guided tours according to age group. For full details, see the “Groups” section of our website.

  • Dogs are admitted in our gardens, kept on a lead throughout the visit. The small-sized dogs are tolerated in the castle on the condition of being in a bag adapted and to stay throughout the visit there.

  • There is unsupervised bicycle parking at close proximity to the site.

Opening Times

How to get there

To come and enjoy our gardens at any time of the year, you have a number of possibilities. Villandry is easily accessible by motorway and road. It is just nine miles from Tours, in the Loire Valley.

By the A85, Villandry is just half an hour from Chenonceau!

Coming from Paris? It’s dead easy!

  • By car (150 miles): A10, exit 24 (Joué-lès-Tours), then A85 towards Saumur, exit 8 (Villandry)
  • By rail: from Paris Montparnasse (55 mins), then by taxi from Tours or Saint-Pierre-des-Corps station (20 mins)

Coming from Nantes?

  • By car: A11 then A85, exit 8 (Villandry)
  • By rail: 90 mins, then by taxi from Tours or Saint-Pierre-des-Corps station (20 mins)
  • By Shuttle PARIS / VILLANDRY: PARISCityVISION runs a regular shuttle service departing from Paris. For more informations click here
