The gardens of Villandry are open every day from 09:00 am to 06:30 pm*.
The chateau is open to visitors from 09:00 am to 06:00 pm**.


Since 21 July 2021, presentation of the health pass
when passing through at the ticket office is compulsory from 18 years old. 

Please note: the interior of the castle will be exceptionally closed to visitors on Friday 17 September.


The busy periods are between 11:00 am and 04:00 pm, and particularly  from 03:00 pm to 04:00 pm.
If you can, please favor an arrival outside of these hours, especially .

PLANNING YOUR VISIT

Villandry Château and Gardens has implemented a series of health-related procedures in order to welcome you in the best possible conditions and guarantee your safety throughout your visit

The health pass :

In accordance with government directives, access to the chateau and the garden is subject to the presentation of a health certificate.

Required from the age of 18 *, one of these documents, accompanied by an identity document, must be presented:

  • Proof of vaccination attesting to a complete vaccination schedule for the time needed after the final injection (7 days after the 2nd injection for double injection vaccines (Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca); 4 weeks after injection for vaccines with a single injection (Johnson & Johnson from Janssen); 7 days after the injection for vaccines in people who have been infected with Covid (1 single injection).
  • A negative PCR or antigen test dated less than 72 hours.
    The self-tests are not valid as part of the health pass.
  • A certificate of recovery (positive test dated at least 11 days and less than 6 months)

Wearing a mask remains mandatory in all interior spaces and queues despite the implementation of this device.

* An identity document may be requested.
This verification will be applicable to over 12s from September 30, 2021.

GOOD TO KNOW :

Throughout your visit, please practise current social distancing rules and protective measures.

  • Wearing a mask is compulsory in all interior spaces (ticket offices, shops, castle, etc.) and in the queues. Wearing a mask is recommended in the gardens.
  • Ticket reservation is not compulsory.
  • Choose contactless card payments at the ticket office and shop wherever possible.
  • Guided tours are currently unavailable.
