From 10 July to 7 November 2021 : In bloom, Yuichi Ono
Peonies, lilacs, irises – in an extension of the gardens, the exhibition gallery will come into flower from July to November. Based in France since the late 1980s,
Japanese artist Yuichi Ono is exhibiting a series of floral paintings at Villandry that display a gentle yet vibrant pictorial touch. A keen observer, he showcases nature – often in vases –, capturing its colours and delicate qualities with precision.
His harmonious, light-filled compositions are an invitation to silent contemplation. The fleeting fragility of blossom, captured with a brush…
Yuichi Ono was born in Osaka, Japan in 1958. He moved to France in 1989. He exhibited in numerous salons and galleries. Member of the Salon d’Automne, the National Society of Fine Arts and the Taylor Foundation.
He is considered the painter of Flowers. The finesse and delicacy of its bouquets and still lifes are a permanent source of delight.
