For the children

A book-game “Le Sortilège de Jean Le Breton” is given to families in the ticket office to discover the gardens through riddles and activities. In French only
for 7-12 years old. ;
An audio guide for children (in French only)
With an audio guide with adapted content, children discover the history of the chateau and the gardens in the company of Marguerite and Louis. At the end of the visit, Villandry will have no more secrets for them!
€4 per audio guide. In French only. From 7 to 12 years old.
The maze
The maze is a favourite place for children. Young and old alike will play at getting lost in order to reach the central belvedere.
The playground
In the Sun Garden, located on the highest level of terraces, is a playground. Children will appreciate the many games available to them and parents the green environment.
Educational tools
Along the visit of the gardens, educational tools to be manipulated promote parent-child exchanges and allow both to better understand the plants, the gardens, but also the evolution of the site over the centuries.
For the parents
- A circuit indicated in the visit booklet enable you to explore all of the gardens with a stroller.
- Strollers are not allowed inside the castle. You can drop them off in a dedicated space at the entrance to the castle during the visit.
- A baby-changing table and a baby bottle warmer are available.
- Don’t hesitate to ask the reception team.
